Ross Marin
President
Ross Marin is the President of Marin Media Group. Backed by more than 30 years of advertising and marketing
experience Ross Marin has served on the board of Ontario's Sheridan College, his alma mater where he was
the recipient of the prestigious Lear Jet Award, as advertising manager of the school newspaper. Ross is
currently the Chair for the Canadian Newspaper Advisory Board (CNAB) established by CCAB, a division of
BPA Worldwide that serves advertisers and advertising agencies, plus more than 500 Canadian consumer magazines,
business publications and newspapers media properties.
Since founding Marin Media Group at the age of 22, Ross has worked with national and international
Fortune 500 companies and has been responsible for many marketing breakthroughs in the retail industry
including developing the current Mass Impact Program. Routinely asked to share his knowledge as a guest speaker
at industry events, he has lead his team to provide leading-edge services, including research, creative,
public relations, promotions and media buying.
Always seeking out new opportunities and challenges, Ross is especially devoting much of his energies to community work,
and charity including fighting the growing problem of childhood obesity with his latest pet project, Aero-Pop,
a dance-based fitness program that's being made available free to elementary schools across Canada.
As the climate of advertising and marketing continues to change in Canada, Ross remains committed to working
with current and new clients alike to creatively develop innovative ways to deliver their marketing and
advertising messages.
Alba Colonna
Account Executive
Alba is the Account Executive for Marin Media Group for the past 3 years. Handling all major accounts,
she is in-charge of research and execution of yearly marketing plans and budgets for clients. Working closely
with the Production Manager and the Online Marketing Manger she coordinates all aspects of the marketing plans.
Alba is also involved in the development of our client's advertising needs from web design to print advertising.
Alba graduated with Honours B.A. in Arts from York University in 1985.
Jacky Odish
Junior Account Executive
Jacky is the Junior Account Executive and the latest addition to the Marin Media Group family. Her experience consists
of marketing, event planning, public relations and media relations for a diverse range of government and not-for-profit
projects. Valued for her enthusiasm, creativity and strategic insight, Jacky is passionate about working with businesses
to define their business goals, vision and get the end-results they need. Jacky is a graduate from the University of
Guelph-Humber with honours BAA in Media Studies and a diploma in Public Relations.
Marlene Neves
Production Manager
Marlene is the Production Manager of the Graphics and IT Department. Marlene's main responsibility is to ensure
the projects flow properly in and out of the department. Working closely with the Account Executive, Writers and Designers,
she must ensure all deadlines are met and the client is satisfied with the end result. Prior to the PM position and
receiving her certificate for Project Management from Humber College, she was a graduate from the
Seneca College Graphic Design Program and was working as a graphic designer for 4 years at Marin Media Group.
Jennifer Bishun
Multimedia Designer
Jennifer works as a Multimedia Designer for Marin Media Group. Her duties include design, development and
implementation of creative websites, motion videos as well as various print projects. She comes from Durham College,
where she graduated from the advanced Multimedia Design program. Previous work experience includes Industry-mag.com
where she was responsible for maintaining and updating the website on a weekly basis for this online magazine.
She also worked as an Intern for Global News where she produced on-air graphics and animations.
Valentina Vogman
Graphic Designer
Valentina works as a Graphic Designer for Marin Media Group. She just completed her Bachelor of Design degree at
the Ontario College of Art & Design in June 2010. Her duties include design, development and implementation of
creative websites, as well as various print projects. Valentina is proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,
Flash, InDesign and all Mac related applications.
