Get to Know Ross Marin

Ross Marin is currently the President of Marin Media Group, a full-service marketing and advertising agency with offices in Toronto and Montreal, which specializes in helping organizations achieve success through the new era of Digital Media.

Backed by more than 30 years of experience Ross Marin has served on the board of Ontario’s Sheridan College, his alma mater where he was the recipient of the prestigious Lear Jet Award, as advertising manager of the school newspaper. Ross Marin is currently the Vice-Chair for the Canadian Newspaper Advisory Board (CNAB) established by CCAB, a division of BPA Worldwide that serves advertisers and advertising agencies, plus more than 500 Canadian consumer magazines, business publications and newspapers media properties.

Routinely asked to share his knowledge as a guest speaker at industry events, Ross Marin has lead his team to provide leading-edge services, including research, creative, public relations, promotions and media buying.

As the climate of advertising and marketing continues to change in Canada, Ross Marin remains committed to working with current and new clients alike to creatively develop innovative ways to deliver their marketing and advertising messages.

Since founding his own company at the age of 22, Ross Marin has worked with national and international Fortune 500 companies and has been responsible for many marketing breakthroughs in the retail industry including developing the current Mass Impact Program (developed as a special program for his clients).

Always seeking out new opportunities and challenges, Ross Marin is especially devoting much of his energies to helping combat the growing problem of childhood obesity with his latest pet project, Aero-Pop, a dance-based fitness program that’s being made available free to elementary schools across Canada.
Ross Marin is also the founder of Fantactics, one of Canada’s first sports marketing agencies. Over the years he has worked with worked with many sports personalities to deliver advertising and marketing programs for companies who understand the power of celebrity endorsements.

Citing his own biggest weakness as lack of time, Ross Marin keeps up-to-date on trends by reading extensively and sitting on several charity boards. And in keeping true to his entrepreneurial spirit, Ross Marin has started many other businesses which are industry leaders in their categories, including Rugcutterz Danz Artz, a dance studio offering competitive and recreational dance programs for children, teens and adults currently with locations in Vaughan and Sault Ste. Marie, and Spa’z Classical Esthetics, a full-service day spa located in Vaughan.

Married 27 years to his wife Sandra, and father of three to Stephanie, Nicole and Emma, Ross Marin’s passions include collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, sports memorabilia and miniature liquor bottles from around the world (he has over 3,000 in his collection).
